How It All Started
WarriorsGate Entertainment, a name that encapsulates both the struggle and the vision, represents Deaf people, particularly BIPOC Deaf artists, who relentlessly fight for recognition and fair opportunities in Hollywood and beyond. The Gate symbolizes access, embodying the doors WarriorsGate Entertainment is determined to open, creating pathways into film, media, sports, and entertainment at the highest levels.
The journey of WarriorsGate Entertainment began in 2012 when founder Rydrea Walker embarked on producing independent films under the banner Walker ASL Pictures. What initially started with small projects and festival recognition swiftly evolved into a larger endeavor. In 2017, the company officially transformed into WarriorsGate Entertainment, with a mission to establish an empire that amplifies Deaf stories and provides a platform for underrepresented voices.
Through unwavering persistence, innovative thinking, and collaborative efforts with the community, WarriorsGate Entertainment expanded its reach from short films to live-stream productions. They forged partnerships with national organizations and now boast a diverse portfolio of divisions, including film and television, streaming, sports, studio facilities, and more.
From its inception, WarriorsGate Entertainment has steadfastly adhered to a singular objective: to dismantle barriers, empower Deaf creators, and leave an indelible mark on the entertainment industry.
We dared to dream bigger, and together we turned those dreams into reality. Our collaboration made us unstoppable.
